We traveled quite a bit this fall – for good reasons, like Trav’s father’s 75th birthday and a trip to see friends in Ohio, and for sad ones, a funeral – and I have fallen behind in blogging my adventures. On that birthday trip, we spent a gorgeous afternoon at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, confirming that I am absolutely mad for photographing botanical gardens. (Stay tuned: posts about both Chihuly and gardens, as well as architecture, in Columbus coming soon.) The details!
This lovely topiary is usually green; she had been pared down so that they could begin to light her in her winter ice maiden gear. There’s something weirdly intimate about her this way.
Garden Lights, Holiday Nights is live now, if you’re in the Atlanta area. Info available here. We won’t make it there, so go for us!
