Wilson has an annual whirl-i-gig festival celebrating the work of Vollis Simpson, and the parentals and I stopped there yesterday. Mr. Simpson’s work is being restored by artists in Wilson and surroundings, and being installed in a park in downtown Wilson to preserve and celebrate it. His work is still amazing.
