Worth getting up for in August: surprise last minute sets from Micah Schnabel; the Cowboy, just in general, because I’m stupid fond of him; vintage dresses on Etsy; advances from Bloodshot records; working with the Bottom String; big ideas, even though I can never seem to make them happen; Ben & Christi’s wedding; roadtrips with shep.; some deceptively cool weather; the Hold Steady live for the first time in three years; Kathy Reichs’ new Bones novel; super polite and charming old punks (and their publicists); did not get in any fights on the internet about pitch counts or what position Dustin Ackley played in college; Kyle Seager only hits doubles; a new level on Angry Birds Rio!; Captain America.
