lost in the trees @ gerrard hall

The shutter on Six seized up irreperably last night, mid-Lost in the Trees set, and so tomorrow she is off to Nikon to slip in under her warranty and, in all likelihood, have her CPU replaced. I had an evening’s worth of massive freaking out, and now I’m just sort of quietly resigned to being without her for a few weeks. (Hopefully as short a time as possible. I get itchy when I’m not shooting.)

So while I’m not actively shooting shows, I’ll be catching up on posting my backlogged pick six photos, maybe posting more album reviews, and taking a day or three off every now and then. I’m going to enjoy shows without having a camera in my hands, and I’m going to spend some time thinking about the shots I don’t take. I’m going to give the point and click a good work-out. Maybe I need this break. Probably I do.

And this space will be the second to know as soon as she’s back in my hands. Because Twitter will be first.

Seems apt that she’s named for Cylon today, though.
