worth getting up for: july

Currently making it worthwhile to get up in the morning: a commute that allows for a full album there, a full album back, paid for by the Feds; crunchy-guitar girl-fronted quasi-punk from the Northwest; Big Gulp-sized Diet Cokes from gas stations; good conversation about music; the a cappella bonus track cover of “The Range War” on Murdering Oscar; Matt Wieters, Brian Matusz, Chris Tillman, Brad Bergesen, Nolan Reimold, and occasionally David Hernandez, plus the fact that Jake Arrieta is still in Triple-A, even when the O’s lose but especially when they win; actually getting a paycheck; great touring bands at tiny venues; the 50mm lens, always; salads of all varieties; wine.
