The second annual tribute to Hank Williams and Townes Van Zandt at the Nightlight was excellent, as I expected it to be. Everyone was good but my unquestionable highlights were EFfingham doing “My Mother the Mountain” (creepiest EVER) and Anna Rose Beck absolutely slaying “If I Needed You” (my favorite Townes song, and one I’ve always believed should only be sung by a woman). A good night. You should have been there.
