Ashley Christensen’s Beasley’s Chicken & Honey was probably the most talked about restaurant in Raleigh during Hopscotch, and Saturday between day parties and the City Plaza shows I strong-armed shep. and C. in to try it out — we all had the chicken biscuit, with mustard, honey, and pickled green tomatoes, and each had a different side. I had the pimento cheddar mac and cheese, and serious, if it hadn’t been undignified, I would have licked my bowl when I was finished. The chicken and honey and biscuit were just as delicious, and the Big Bad Old Fashioned — with bacon bourbon! — was super tasty. Two thumbs up!
