wait for spring

baseball: u of maine @ unc, game three

“People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.” — Rogers Hornsby

With the World Series done, all that’s left to do this off-season is count the days until pitchers and catchers (102, if you want to make yourself a calendar), and college baseball (107 until the Heels’ first game), and hope the Orioles sign a real first baseman who can hit.

I’m putting together an interview series featuring musicians and music bloggers who are also big baseball fans, to run during Spring Training next year. If you are one, or you know one, please drop me an email at asdonkar AT gmail DOT com.
