Summer makes me lazy about posting. And shooting. And basically doing anything but lying on the couch like a lazy slob. Our air conditioning, or rather lack thereof, which up until this evening was not so much “air conditioning” as “trying futilely and failing miserably to air condition”, has also made me lazier than usual.
I have a lot of things I want and/or need to be doing. I have a lot of projects in my back pocket. I’m going to get up and do all of them, I swear, in just a minute — just as soon as I finish this beer, finish this book, finish listening to Chris Thile’s solo albums, finish watching this baseball game. (I know a lot of talented mandolin players, some very, very talented ones — but Thile is extraordinary. Sometimes I forget that. Damn. I’m really looking forward to digging into the new Punch Brothers album, too.)
I was pathetically lazy about posting in June last year, too. Maybe June’s just a bad month for it.

… I resemble that statement.
June makes slugs of us all!
