This is for Heather.
It’s a lesson in the power of a point and shoot; I took this shot lying upside down on a blanket at the beach, just leaned back, looked at what was behind me, framed it, and clicked. No metering, no thinking, just go. I probably put about fifteen seconds worth of thought into this shot — and it’s one of my favorites that I’ve taken this year.
Trust the camera you can carry around in your pocket, sometimes. I couldn’t have done this better with Six, and I probably would have fucked it up if I’d tried.
