The Beefmastor Inn in Wilson, NC does one thing: ribeye. And it does it well. Ten tables, no reservations, and a full parking lot half an hour before they opened at 4:30 on Sunday, once you’re seated you pick your amount of steak (starts at 8oz), how you wanted it done, and you’re turned loose on the salad bar. Then your rib eye comes back with a baked potato and some garlic bread, and as simple as it sounds, it’s worth it. The Beefmastor Inn is famous for a reason. One of the best steaks of my life.
