Hatteras style clam chowder – the food for Dare County, at Sam and Omie’s, a long-time fisherman’s haunt – is a broth-based soup, and let me tell you what, the folks sitting behind us were pissed about this. I loved it, though – the broth was spicy and flavorful, and the whole thing was great. Also made a kick-ass club sandwich.
