I had seen the Dash play before, more than 15 years ago, when they still played in the Wake Forest stadium (which at the time was kind of a dump, to be honest). They built Truist Stadium between now and then, and it’s a perfect modern minor league park. All the sightlines are clear, parking and entranceare easy, the bathrooms were spacious, and the food was excellent.
The baseball, on the other hand, was not. Great hitting, garbage pitching on both sides. The Dash are the White Sox’ High-A affiliate, and the Crawdads have been Texas’ High-A club for at least two decades. Heath and I had a really good time.
