Y’all, if you’re a baseball fan who lives in the Triangle, get yourself out to the Regulator Bookshop in Durham today at 2pm to catch Dan Epstein’s reading from Big Hair & Plastic Grass. Dan’s funny and brilliant and knows absolutely everything about baseball in the ’70s, so go even if it’s just to ask him what song he’d bat to, which ex-baseball players are on Facebook, and to see him rockin’ the ’70s Catfish Hunter jersey.

But you should really go to buy his book, because the 75 pages I’ve read so far? It’s fabulous. And I had a blast at his reading at Slim’s last night.
